Carlos
In 2004, Carlos came from Portugal and couldn’t believe that there were other kids like him with EB. Although he spent only three weeks at camp, he said those were the best three weeks of his life.He got to experience many things for the first time. For example, he got to go horseback riding and went to his first dance.
Nearly blind in one eye, Carlos was an accomplished artist and gave away his drawings to the friends that he made at Camp. Carlos was able to make people feel at ease and shared his grace and humor with all of us. He was a very special young man and will be greatly missed by those that got to know him.
