Brittany
Brittany was a beautiful young woman that loved coming to camp. She loved being there and feeling like she was just like everyone else, The first year Brittany came to camp, she had a blast enjoying every minute of everyday. From the boat rides to arts and crafts and even to the dance- she was spotted every where enjoying her time away from home. She even wore out her battery to her wheelchair because she was having so much fun and didn't want to slow down. One very special friend that she met while going to camp was Katie Getz- these two were almost inseparable during camp. The second year that Brittany came to camp her health had slowed her down a little bit, but with her bright smiles and laughs you would have never guessed that. She was dressed up for every theme day and wanted to be part of every moment. Brittany and Katie were like glue her second year of camp- whenever you saw one of them you knew the other one was close behind. Some of Brittany's favorite hobbies included coloring, music, arts and crafts and talking about her cats. She was always making something beautiful just like herself. One of her favorite songs that many of us will remember her singing was "I hope you dance". Brittany leaves behind her mom and baby sister Raine, and many friends and relatives. Just a few days after she passed away, her sister Raine was born! We all miss Brittany, but we also know she is free of pain.
