Adam Paige
Adam Paige attended Teen Camp Discovery in 2003 and passed away in February 2008 due to complications of RDEB. Adam was a very serious and somewhat depressed teenager when I first met him and I remember it was not easy to convince him to come to camp. He had attended another summer camp a few years earlier and was convinced that the camp experience was “not his thing”. I am not entirely sure why he decided to come to Teen Camp that year but I have no doubt that he thoroughly enjoyed the experience. He really came out of his shell during that time and was enthusiastic about almost everything (a side of Adam I never knew existed). I had no idea that Adam had so much comedic talent and he amazed everyone with his stand-up routine at the talent show. Adam was good company to fellow campers and staff alike and lived and loved fully during his time at camp. He will be missed dearly by all those whom he touched during that warm week at Camp K in the summer of 2003.
